Germaine Bolds-Leftridge is the “Queen Midas” of multicultural beauty brands. Whatever she touches turns to gold as she launches, sells, and represents products and brands in the retail marketplace as their premier beauty broker. She is a thirty-year veteran of the Black & Brown beauty space turning brand founders into multi-millionaires via her company GBL Sales, Inc., and The Ubiquitous Women’s Expo. Now legendary brands such as Ambi Skincare, Annie International, Bronner Bros., CURLDAZE, Curls Dynasty, Kenya Moore Haircare, Makeup Bullet, Luster Products, Mielle Organics, ORS Haircare, Oyin Handmade, Renpure, Taliah Waajid, and Universal Beauty, just to name a few, have all gone gold with Germaine’s diligent sales & brand building efforts. Germaine’s, credo is reflected in GBL Sales philosophy, “Every client deserves and will receive quality, professional, courteous service, without exception.” This sincere “can do” attitude has made her the success she is today.
Germaine earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Morgan State University in 1981. She is an active member of The Peoples' Community Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD, a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and a proud member of The Links organization. Her golfing skills have afforded her to be the 3-time Women's Golf Champion at Lakewood Country Club in Rockville, Maryland. Germaine has always been known as a person with a huge heart. In 2012, Germaine founded The Leftridge Family Foundation. This non-profit organization, of which she serves as Chairperson of the Board, raises money to benefit the education of underprivileged and at-risk minority boys.
GBL Sales was named one of Maryland's Top 100 Minority Business Enterprises by Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele. The company was recognized as Manufacturer Representative of the Year by the American Health and Beauty Aids Institute (AHBAI). GBL Sales earned the AHBAI Associate Member of the Year Award. Germaine was awarded the Joe Mann’s Black Wall Street Award. Cafe Mocha "Salute Her" awarded Germaine the Community Game Changer Award. Sisters 4 Sisters Network recognized her with the Excellence in Business Award. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Tau Pi chapter awarded her as the Citizen of the Year while Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Alpha Zeta chapter named her Woman of the Year in Business.
Germaine believes passionately in family, its legacy, passing down both wisdom and wealth to the next generation. She has been married to her husband for 43 years and is blessed with two children and two grandchildren.
